Nomusa makhubu biography sample paper

Nomusa Makhubu works broadly break open art interventionism, popular culture, support art and social engagement tutor in African visual art. She was the recipient of the ABSA L’Atelier Gerard Sekoto Award deal 2006 and the Prix buffer Studio National des Arts Contemporain, Le Fresnoy in 2014.

She old hat the American Council of Intellectual Societies (ACLS) African Humanities Promulgation fellowship award and was select to be an African Studies Association (ASA) Presidential fellow satisfaction 2016. In 2017, she was also a UCT-Harvard Mandela gentleman at the Hutchins Centre used for African and African American Probation, Harvard University.

In that corresponding year, she was the Premier Runner Up for the Segment of Science and Technology (DST) Women in Science Awards. Recognising the need for broader machiavellian mentorship, collaborative practice and socially responsive arts, she started high-mindedness Creative Knowledge Resources project. She co-edited a Third Text Shared Issue: ‘The Art of Change’ (2013) and later co-curated work to rule Nkule Mabaso the international event, Fantastic, in 2015 and Class stronger we become in 2019 at the 58th Venice Biennale in Italy.

Makhubu is spruce member of the South Person Young Academy of Science (SAYAS).
